Alexis Buxton-Collins is an Australian freelance journalist and editor with more than fifteen years' experience in the publishing industry.

With a focus on adventure travel, wildlife and cultural experiences, he has spent years exploring the world in search of the stories that others pass by and is passionate about the possibilities of travel to broaden minds as well as horizons. From his home in Adelaide he is a regular contributor to publications in Australia, the US and the UK and his creative, well-researched work has featured in a range of glossy magazines and leading online publications including The Guardian, Escape, Qantas, Fodor’s Travel, Australian Traveller, International Traveller, Get Lost, Lonely Planet, Virgin, Broadsheet and Wild.

Alexis is a member of the Australian Society of Travel Writers (where he is the events co-ordinator for South Australia) and an Adventure Travel Trade Association Media Member.
